Help! We need parents to help out from 7:25-7:55 on Mondays and Thursdays. If we don't have parent help, we can't open. If we don't open and make some money, we can't go on an extra fun trip in June. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Just a head's up!!! Ms. Carpine is coming in tomorrow to do her mystery booktalk. If you need to return books to her or have a library card application remember to bring them to school tomorrow.
Thanks very much to Mrs. Ferretti and Mrs. McLane for helping out with the grand re-opening of the 5th grade school store this morning. We made over $32.00! Not bad for 15 minutes of selling pencils and erasers. If you could possibly donate 30 minutes before school to oversee the 5th graders selling the products that would be great. The money we make from this goes toward an extra fieldtrip for the 5th graders at the end of the year. If parents don't help out, we can't open. :O(
Be sure to ask your child about Johnny the K. He presented an amazing show to the entire school today. He was a big hit. Also, ask your child about the book we started in reading groups today. I'm very excited to share this story with your children. It will really tie our literacy strategies and social studies curriculum together. Just a reminder that the students will not be in school on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Congratulations to our new Student Council members. There will be a meeting on Thursday from 2:00-3:00 for those who can make it. Thanks to everyone who has participated in our Charleston fundraiser. This ends soon!
Today's trip to the Cove School vernal pool was filled with observations and noticings. The students took notes as they walked the path. We'll repeat our "silent" walk in November, during the winter, and in the spring. We're predicting that things will look different. Ask your child how deep the pool was today!!!!!
Just a reminder that we'll be taking our "summer" silent walk to the Cove School Vernal Pool. Long pants are recommended. Students can change after gym. Bug spray is highly recommended. This can not be applied at school. Thanks!
Tomorrow we'll be celebrating Dot Day at Cove! Wear your polka dots to honor Vashti and her mark. Ask your child what this means. Here's a link you can check out for more information:
http://www.thedotclub.org/dotday/get-started . Good evening everyone! Just a reminder that tomorrow is picture day. Envelopes were sent home last week. We have gym at 8:00. Our photo time is 9:35. We'll build in some primping time after morning meeting. Thanks for visiting my site!
What a great first day we had! Please make sure you check your child's blue folder for important forms and notices. Be sure to send in completed forms as quickly as possible. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you have. Here's to an amazing school year!
